I started my own business in 1991. It was a computer training business. I'd been involved in IT Training and Support since 1978 and I was good at, so it made sense to use my professional business experience.

Back then I loved reading (still do), I was good at communicating (had to be as a trainer, didn't I ?) and I could write a great 'how to' computer training manual (I've still got the letters from clients to prove it!)

But I was not skilled in marketing or writing sales letters. In my early days the results from my marketing was slow, to say the least!  So I had to learn how to write responsive sales letters... know that feeling?

Well I did learn, in fact I found it was (and still is) a fascinating subject.  I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds studying the experts, both past and modern day. Watching, reading, listening, talking to, learning, implementing and testing what I discovered.  And eventually, I honed my own marketing and sales letter writing skills and got great results.

Now one of the things I love to do is to help people (I get that from my Father). I delight in sharing knowledge with other people, I get a huge buzz when they get a great response using something I've suggested; something they hadn't thought of or didn't know about. I guess that's why I spent so many years teaching people of all ages how to get to grips with technology in their business. 

And then I started to do the same with the marketing and writing insights I'd discovered.
